UTEP Computer Science Students Participate in Google Tech Exchange
What is Google Tech Exchange?
In partnership with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Google Tech Exchange provides undergraduate students in tech with the opportunity to learn directly from Googlers and faculty from HBCU/HSI.
This spring semester, with enthusiasm for learning and growing as computer scientists, 20 CS students participated in hybrid classes designed to prepare them for technical internships at Google and beyond. They also took part in mock interviews that not only gave them practice for future opportunities but also boosted their confidence, sharpened their skills, and challenged them to reach new levels.
From lectures to labs, our students thrived in the program, completing it with both valuable lessons and unforgettable experiences.
“This has truly been one of the most exciting experiences in my academic and professional journey. I've gained valuable knowledge and insights, and I had the chance to connect with people who are not only passionate about learning, but also about building meaningful connections and fostering a supportive environment for both students and instructors.” – Daniela Castro Enriquez.
Stay tuned to learn more about future programs!
